Marshmallow Treats sprinkled with fun

Most people have had rice crispy treats at some point in their lives. The heavenly crunch of the cereal with the sticky sweet marshmallows combined in a perfect blend.

But if gluten, dairy, or nuts aren’t safe then these treats are less than ideal. Well wait no more because this recipe hits all the nostalgia plus adds some extra pizzazz!

Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper.

Then grab a large microwave safe bowl.

Then use a bag and a half of marshmallows. Trust me it’s well worth it! Pour them into the large bowl. I like to use the mini marshmallows because they melt faster and more consistently.

Add the margarine to the marshmallows and microwave until they are soft and mostly melted. Use a rubber spatula to mix a few times.

Add the mix ins (any you want) my favorite are dried cranberries and shredded coconut.

Fold those together into the marshmallows until they are mostly incorporated.

Pour the box of safe cereal into the bowl and stir all together.

Once everything is one sticky combined mixture pour it into the parchment lined pan.

Spread out until it filled the pan or mostly even.

Let sit for at least thirty minutes.

Once fully cooled take the parchment out with the marshmallow treats and cut on a flat surface into any shape or size you desire.

Seriously you might not even bother cutting them and just tearing a chunk off because everyone in the house will be vying for a piece!
