Thick and Creamy Cream Cheese Frosting

The thing with allergy friendly recipes is that they never quite feel or taste like the original items they are trying to mimic but this new and improved “cream cheese” frosting I think gets as close as possible.

While my first recipe of “cream cheese” frosting works well for a topping I wanted something that could also be piped. And this one fits the bill.

First blend the cream cheese and shortening together in your mixer. A stand mixer is best but a hand mixer will work but take longer.

Then add the powdered sugar one cup at a time. With each cup added sprinkle about a third of the tapioca starch to help bind but not cause lumps.

Continue until all the ingredients are in the mixer. Then set the mixer to medium and whip for two minutes.

Then you now have easy piping ready cream cheese frosting that everyone in your family can eat!

Enjoy it because you will want to use this on everything!
